In 1994, the US Air Force Research Lab requested $7.5 M for a Gay Bomb project. The goal was to spray enemy lines with female sex pheromones to reduce their fighting testosterone-driven behavior and turn them into lovers dropping their weapons. [continued after the image]…
This is what The Guardian wrote:
What if it could release a chemical that would make an opposing army's soldiers think more about the physical attributes of their comrades in arms than the threat posed by the enemy? And thus the "gay bomb" was born. Far from being the product of conspiracy theorists, documents released to a biological weapons watchdog in Austin, Texas confirm that the US military did investigate the idea. It was included in a CD-Rom produced by the US military in 2000 and submitted to the National Academy of Sciences in 2002. The documents show that $7.5 M was requested to develop the weapon.
Many people may not realize that our nose is among our most sensual organs which also mediates our sexual behavior. Dr. Wilhelm Fliess, the German otolaryngologist and a close friend of Sigmund Freud, who developed the theory of human biorhythms, even called the human nose “a sex organ.” His nasogenital theory postulated a connection between the nose and the genitals and related this to a variety of neurological and psychological symptoms; Fliess devised a surgical operation intended to sever that link.
Freud repeatedly allowed Fliess to operate on his nose and sinuses to cure his (sexual) neurosis and also experimented with anaesthetization of the nasal mucosa with cocaine.
Fascinating. Do you know whether Freud’s neurosis was cured by those operations. Interesting theory to say the least.
