Egg Yolks may Fight COVID, but Terms like Cage-Free and Organic can be Misleading
A 2021 study shows the efficacy of Egg Yolk Antibodies (IgY) as a neutralizing agent against the SARS-CoV-2. Humans have long used eggs as a nutritious and healing food. In fact, Eggs, in addition to being a great source of proteins, are among the lowest cost sources of valuable micronutrients, as seen in the Table below (they outperform most meats, beans and grains).
But unfortunately, much of the eggs in the market today are mass-produced from machine-incubated caged or huddled chickens (sometimes up to half a million in one structure!).
